Clowny’s Fairground Fortune Slot Review, Features & RTP

Clowny’s Fairground Fortune is about more than just pressing spin repeatedly, so have a read through our in-depth review and give yourself a decent chance of understanding what the game involves.

Special Features

There are a number of really fun little features to the Clowny’s Fairground Fortune slot, with each of them explained in detail here:

Clowny’s Fairground Fortune Wilds

Clowny's Fairground Adventure Wild SymbolThe Clowny’s Fairground Fortune Wild symbol can substitute in for anything except one of the symbols that will kick-start a game. That means that a Wild can fit into a losing reel and suddenly make it a winning one, even creating several winning lines if it’s in the right place on the reels.

Ferris Reel Free Spins

Ordinarily the idea of a Ferris wheel and a Free Spin isn’t a particularly enticing one. Yet in Clowny’s Fairground Fortune it’s exactly what you’ll be hoping for! If you land three or more Ferris wheel Scatters on active lines then the result will be the rewarding of ten Free Spins. That’s not it, however, with the number of lines selected doubled and two more rows appearing on your reels. You can also win more Free Spins during the game, meaning that you could earn decent chunk of money during this game.

Duck Shoot Feature Game

If you Spin the reels and three or more Duck Scatters are in view then the Duck Shoot Feature Game will begin. Just like at a real fairground, you’ll have a chance to win prizes by shooting the Yellow Ducks. We say ‘shoot’, but also you need to do is click on a duck and a prize will be given to you. You could be asked to shoot again, with the game continuing until you no longer see the ‘Shoot Again’ sign.

Coconut Shy Feature Game

The Coconut Shy Feature Game is very similar to the Duck Shoot alternative. You’ll start it by landing three or more Coconut Scatters on your reel, after which you’ll be asked to click on one of the Coconuts. This will ‘throw’ a ball at it, with the Coconut cracking open to reveal a prize. The game will keep going until one of the Coconuts is empty or you’ve won all of the prizes.

Clowny Cash Climber Feature Game

Clowny is a fun/terrifying character, depending on what you think of clowns. You’ll trigger this game by getting three or more Clowny Scatters on your reels. After that the chance to win prizes is yours, which you do by swinging Clowny’s mallet at the target. That is achieved by clicking anywhere on the screen, if you’re wondering. Should the puck hit the target amount then you’ll win it, but if it doesn’t then Clowny will lose a life. If you hit the target then you’ll not only win the prize but also restore a previously lost life. The prizes increase as the game goes on, with the feature coming an end when all of Clowny’s lives are lost.

Gameplay & RTP

Clowny's Fairground Adventure LogoLet’s start by talking about Clowny’s Fairground Fortune’s Return To Player average. It sits at 95.05%, which is a little better than the majority of games on the Virtue Fusion network. They are normally more like 94%, so you can see that this is an improvement. It’s still well off the 98% mark that we think is more desirable if a game’s RTP is the only thing that matters to you. That’s not the best way to approach something that you’re going to spend quite a bit of time playing, however, so we think it’s far more important to figure out whether or not the game itself is enjoyable. You might think differently, though, so if you’re more concerned about the Return To Player average than whether or not the game is fun then you might think that Clowny’s Fairground Fortune’s 95.05% is a little too much on the low side to get really excited about. That said, you will win a certain amount of money on any game, so play one that you like.

If you’re interested to know on the gameplay of Clowny’s Fairground Fortune, then, you’ll likely be really pleased. It’s got plenty to recommend it, including a very well thought-out theme. From the moment you load it up you’ll see exactly what we mean, with every aspect of the game based around the idea of being like a visit to a fairground. The line numbers are, amusingly, written on the sort of cuddly toys you’d be able to win if you went off to one. The reels themselves sit inside what looks like a Big Top Tent, with the name of the game written in big celebratory letters. Then there’s the symbols, which are brilliantly done. There’s a Bouncy Castle, a Rocket and a Bumper Car, but it’s the 10, J, Q, K and A symbols that are the most interesting, given that they look as though they’re made from inflatable balloons. There’s a fun little thing that that kicks-in when symbols are winners, too, in that they come alive, with the Rocket spinning around, as an example.

The only part of the game that’s a little disappointing is the bottom line with the Pay Table, Autoplay, Spin and other buttons located on it. There’s no theme at all there, which feels like a let down. Considering even the sound of the game matches the fairground theme, you really feel that they could have done better there. There’s no question that the rest of the game is great fun, meanwhile, including the various feature games. Trying to hit the Coconut’s, say, or shoot a duck is fun, but it’s nothing compared to Clowny trying to hit the target with his mallet. That’s not only a fun game but it’s one of the best ways you’ll encounter of winning additional prize money. When it comes to the way the game plays, it’s one of the best on the Virtue Fusion network. The reels spin incredibly smoothly, but there’s still a fake ‘blurriness’ that gives it a sense of verisimilitude. You’ll note that we say ‘fake’, because it’s different to the blurriness that comes with games with poor graphics and gives you a headache. This is one of our favourite slots out there.
