Special Features

The Glass Slipper is a game that boasts a number of fun special features, so read on to find out how they all work and what you’ll need to keep your eye out for.

Glass Slipper Wilds

glass slipper wild symbolIf you’ve played a slot game with Wilds in it before then you’ll know how this works. The Glass Slipper Wild can replace any symbol apart from the special ones like the jackpot and bonus symbols, with several of them together resulting in a win of their own accord. Wilds are good, but not as good as…

Dove Super Wilds

The Glass Slipper Dove Super WildIf the Dove Super Wild symbol lands on reel five then prepare yourself for a fly-by. Doves will fly over your reels, turning up to five symbols into Super Wilds. There’s not much difference between Wilds and Super Wilds except for the fact that the latter can happen to more symbols in return for just one Super Wild landing on an active line.

Spring Clean

The Glass Slipper Spring Clean BonusCindy loves to do a bit of cleaning, so helping her with her window cleaning chores will see you earn a bit of extra pocket money. This round will come into play if you land a Spring Clean Scatter, which looks like a bucket, on reel 5. All you need to do is clean a window, with each pane cleaned resulting in more cash for your balance. You can keep cleaning until you break one of the windows, at which point the bonus round will be over and the normal slot will resume.

Magic Free Spins

The Glass Slipper Magic Free SpinsSee the Fairy Godmother Free Spins Scatter on lines one, three and five and you’ll be given the chance to get Cindy to the grand ball. Every time a Free Spin takes place the clock will move forward, taking you closer to midnight. That’s when your Free Spins will end, but watch out for the Fairy Godmother – she has the ability to turn back time and if she does so then you could win up to fifty Free Spins. There are also three symbols that will only appear during a Free Spin round, which are Cindy’s Shoes, a Dress and a Pumpkin. Each time you get one Cindy’s appearance will change.

The Grand Ball Bonus Round

The Glass Slipper Grand BallThis is technically a continuation of the Free Spins round, owing to the fact that you’ll need to collect all three of the special symbols that only appear in that game. Do that and you’ll be heading to the ball, where you’ll get the chance to choose dance routines for Cindy to perform in order to woo the Prince. Each move is worth some money, with the time you had left before midnight in the Free Spins game carrying over to The Grand Ball game. The Fairy Godmother can turn time back here too, with the game continuing until the clock strikes midnight.

Glass Slipper Progressive Jackpot

glass slipper jackpot symbolThere are two different types of jackpot in the Glass Slipper, with three or four Glass Slippers landing on active pay lines giving you a decent payout all of their own. Five Glass Slippers will trigger the progressive jackpot, but your excitement should be mildly tempered here; if you’re playing with large stakes then getting three or four Glass Slippers will actually pay out more money than hitting five of them if the progressive jackpot amount is quite low. As always, the percentage of the progressive jackpot you’ll win will be dictated by the size of your line stake.

Gameplay & RTP

glass slipper slot logoThe Glass Slipper is one of the best games we’ve played on the Virtue Fusion network. From the moment it starts up and you’re greeted with a video explaining the backstory you know that you’re in good hands, with the graphics working smoothly and the whole concept making total sense. The various bonus games and special features are also outlined straight away, meaning that there can be no confusion about how the game will pan out. As the game proper starts up, you’ll notice that the graphics are rich and the storyline is going to be carried through well enough. Both the sheer number of games and the way they all pan out is great, giving you ample opportunity to win yourself some bonus money. It’s also excellent that they don’t deviate from the theme of the game, which isn’t always a guarantee with certain slots. From spring cleaning through to the appearance of the Fairy Godmother, you can see the influence of the Cinderella story everywhere.

That continuation of the theme is never abandoned, with the reels themselves standing in front of Cindy’s home. The Prince’s castle is off in the background and and Cindy stands next to the house, looking at you welcomingly and occasionally moving about to show how well put together the game is. There’s even an occasional butterfly that makes its way across the screen, giving the game added depth. If you’ve got your sound on then you’ll hear the noises of the countryside, which are in keeping with the forrest look that dominates the ‘Spin’ button, ‘Info’ section and other areas. That noise keeps going if you click on ‘Info’ and start reading about the various rules of the game’s special features, with the symbols used in the game also recognisable from the Cinderella story, including Prince Charming, the Ugly Sisters and, of course, the Fairy Godmother who makes dreams come true. Even the 10, J, Q, K and A symbols have a fairytale style of writing.

The richness of the gameplay is all well and good, but what of the Return To Player percentage? After all, if you’re never going to win any money then it doesn’t really matter how smoothly the slot plays. An RTP of 94% is firmly in the middle of the ‘perfectly acceptable’ category, even if there are some Virtue Fusion games that sit 3-4% higher up than The Glass Slipper. How much the RTP average matters is always down to personal opinion, though if you’re not too bothered about finding the largest average on the market then you’re likely to come back to The Glass Slipper time and again. It is one of the most modern games out there, with 2D graphics that make it seem more like a well put-together film than a slot game. The reels spin about as smoothly as on any game on the market, with each bonus round seeming like a mini-movie all of their own. Top-notch stuff.
