Fireworkz Blitz Slot Review, Features & RTP

This is where you can learn all about the game itself, as well as what we think about it and the way that you can trigger the progressive jackpot and win big.

Special Features

Fireworkz Blitz might be full of excitement in the sense of rockets bursting into the sky, but it’s a little lacking when it comes to Special Features. There’s only one particularly worth mentioning:

Exploding Fireworks For More Wins

Fireworkz Blitz Exploding FireworksThe ‘Exploding Symbols’ feature is a popular one on some Virtue Fusion games, mainly because it gives players an increased chance of winning more money. It’s an easy enough one to understand, with the added benefit of requiring no input from the player. When your fireworks line-up in such a way that they result in a win for you, you’ll find that they immediately explode in order to be replaced by new fireworks. If they are also winners then yippee! They’ll explode and be replaced themselves, which is something that will carry on until there are no more winning combinations to be found.

Sparky’s Progressive Jackpot

Fireworkz Blitz JackpotWe’ll tell you a bit more about the individual fireworks and their personalities in a moment, but for now the only one you’ll really want to know about is Sparky. The bulgy-eyed red firework is the one you’ll want to see eight or more of line-up when all of the reels come to a stop, for the simple reason that that will mean you’ve won the progressive jackpot. How much of the jackpot you’ve won will depend entirely on how large your stake is, given that a stake of 10p will return 1% of the total available, with the amount being returned gradually increasing until you’ve staked £10 and will get 100% of the jackpot. That stands at just shy of £1 million at the time of writing, so it can be well worth your time.

Gameplay & RTP

Fireworkz Blitz LogoAs we hinted at before, the Return To Player amount of 92.99% isn’t exactly a thrilling number that will have you heading straight for the ‘Spin’ button on a daily basis. There are games with significantly better RTPs out there on the Virtue Fusion network, but some of them actually aren’t as fun to play as Fireworkz Blitz. It’s the gameplay that you’ll want to consider more than anything else, given that you’ll win some money and lose money regardless of the game you play and therefore the enjoyment you have whilst playing it is key.

In that sense, Fireworkz Blitz doesn’t disappoint. Each of the six fireworks that will appear in the game have their own personalities that you’ll come to either love or despise depending on how often you see them. Flash is a yellow creation with sticky out eyebrows and a constant look of worry. Move your cursor over him and that will turn to nervousness. Cathy is a purple firework that looks thoroughly unimpressed and rolls her eyes at you before breaking into a cheeky smile. Fawkes is one the most amusing, looking terribly upset with tears rolling out of his eyes and turning to a look of shock when you put your cursor on his face.

Sidney and Roman make up the rest of the firework crew, adding their own little personalities to the game. When you press ‘Play’ you’ll see them all have a panicked look on their face before they drop off the screen and then burst back onto it courtesy of their rocket boosters. They’ll then settle and explode if they’re in a winning formation. The main game sits in front of a graphic that is meant to represent a night sky, complete with a lamppost next to it. Let’s be honest, it’s a simplistic game in a similar manner to others that don’t have a lot of bonus games going on, but it’s at least a tad more entertaining than some of the alternatives out there.
