Fairest of Them All Slot Review, Features & RTP

There’s plenty to tell you about when it comes to the Fairest of Them All game, so read our review here to get more of an understanding of how the game and its myriad of Special Features all work.

Special Features

Some slots offer users nothing but the chance to win the progressive jackpot as a means of enticing them in. Others have a decent number of Special Features to keep you interested once you’ve started playing. Fairest of Them All is very much in that last category, so here’s a look at the various Special Features that will keep you amused:

Mirrored Free Spins

Fairest of Them All Free Spins One of the most important characters in the Snow White fairytale is not human. The mirror, that you’ll remember is on the wall, is the thing that starts of the evil queen’s quest to destroy Snow White for her own benefit. It’s right, therefore, that in this fairytale themed slot game the mirror should have a special power. Land a Mirror symbol on reels two, four and five and you’ll be rewarded with five Free Spins.

The good news doesn’t end there. You might also see a Mirror symbol landing on the middle reel, which will result in one of three characters being revealed, with each of those characters having special traits of their own. If it’s the Princess then your Free Spins will be locked, stopping them from counting down. That’s unless they’ve already been locked, in which case your win multiplier will be increased by one.

How can Free Spins be locked in placed so they never count down? Won’t that mean that you’ll just keep hitting Free Spins forever? Well, that’s where the Evil Queen comes in. If it’s her face you see revealed by the Mirror in the middle reel then your Free Spins will start to count down again and any increased multiplier will be reset to one. The final face you might see is the Prince, but we’ll tell you more about that later.

In-Reel Modifiers

As well as the Mirrored Free Spins and a Bonus Round that we’ll tell you about shortly, this game also features a number of In-Reel Modifiers. Here’s a look at each of them:

Butterfly

Fairest of Them All ButterflyIf you see a Butterfly flittering onto your screen then you can allow yourself a little smile. It will add between one and five Scatter symbols to your game and give you access to the Bonus Feature.

Owl

Fairest of Them All OwlThe butterfly isn’t the only thing with wings that you’ll be pleased to see. An Owl can swoop down and add between one and five Wild symbols to your reels. That might mean a nice little win for you, if the Wilds are positioned in a nice spot.

Chicken

Fairest of Them All ChickenCan chickens fly? They can in fairytale land. This one will also multiply your win by up to thirty times if it flies across your reels, which is why you won’t be questioning the physics of it all.

Rabbit

Fairest of Them All RabbitThere’s a cheeky little Rabbit that you might find wants to hop across your reel at some point. If it does don’t be too quick trying to shoo it away – it can add from one to three different Stacked Wilds, resulting in all symbols on one or more reels being turned Wild.

Silver Dust

Fairest of Them All Silver DustThe beauty of this game is that even if you think you’ve lost there’s a chance that you haven’t. At any moment the princess may appear on screen and throw Silver Dust all over your reels. That will turn a losing spin into a winning one, so who isn’t a fan of that?

Gold Dust

Fairest of Them All Gold DustA losing spin being turned into a winning one is all well and good, but what about a spin that’s already a winner? That’s when you’ll be hoping to see some Gold Dust, which will turn all of the same winning symbol into one that has a higher value. That will, obviously, result in a bigger payout for you. There’s also Pink Dust, but we’ll tell you more about that in a moment.

Mining Bonus

Fairest of Them All Mining BonusThe joyful Special Features of this game don’t end with different coloured Dust being spread around. If you see a Dwarf symbol on reels one, three and five then collect you pick, you’re heading down the mine. There you’ll be able to select one of the Dwarves to do some digging for you. The Dwarf that you select will already ensure you’ve won some money, but it’s what happens next that could see your winnings escalate.

You’ll be sending your chosen Dwarf off to the glittering areas of the mind where he’ll reveal which cash prizes you’ve won. You’ll be able to send him off again and again until the word ‘Collect’ comes up on the screen. During the game keep your eye out for Mine Cart, which will give you one of three additional bonuses. The first is a Mystery Multiplier, effective on all of your cash prizes. The second is an additional miner, with up to three allowed at any one time. Finally, the TNT-Super Pick results in an ever bigger cash prize being paid out.

The Prince’s Progressive Jackpot

Fairest of Them All Progressive JackpotYou’ll have noticed a couple of different occasions on which we’ve said, “We’ll tell you more about that later”, or words to that effect. That’s because the Fairest of Them All game features an impressive progressive jackpot that is triggered by the arrival of Prince Charming. You might see him appear in the Mirror in the Free Spin game, for example. Or you could see him arrive on the Mine during the Mining Bonus round.

Finally, the princess might throw Pink Dust all over your reel and he’ll emerge from there when the cloud settles. Wherever the Prince appears, be ready to celebrate. At the time of writing the Fairest Of Them All progressive jackpot stands at over £1.5 million.

Gameplay & RTP

Fairest of Them All LogoFairest of Them All is one of the most consistent games on the Virtue Fusion network. What we mean by that is that all of the different aspects of the game fit together, with none of them seeming out of place with overall theme. As soon as you start the game, for example, you’ll see a little video explaining the story of the Evil Queen asking the Mirror who the Fairest of Them All is, only for Mirror to show Snow White to us all. Enter the game proper and you’ll see Snow White standing in front of a luscious looking forest, complete with squirrel and rabbit knocking about in front of it. There’s something to be said about a game that knows its own theme and sticks to it.

The actual gameplay is smooth and entertaining, particularly in terms of the bonus rounds. It’s nice to see the Dwarves get a bit of the action with the Mine Bonus, allowing you to whistle while you work and hope to sing ‘Hi Ho’ if you hit the jackpot. From the owl watching over proceedings though to symbols of the Evil Queen, Prince Charming and Sleeping Beauty, you’ll recognise all of the major players here. There’s enough of a story to keep you entertained and the progressive jackpot can increase to a tremendous level. We’ll be surprised if you don’t find this game really engaging.

The Return To Player percentage here is 94%. That’s moderate, rather than exceptional. You’ll be able to get a few good games out of a limited initial stake, which is about all you can ask for with these sorts of games. There are certainly more impressive RTPs on the Virtue Fusion network, but is the gameplay as good on them? Fairest of Them All is one of the most amusing games around, so sometimes it’s worth sacrificing a percent or two of RTP in return for a game that ticks a lot of boxes.
